One dozen high-quality pencils created by Viarco pencil factory of Portugal, as part of a faithful reissue of their pencil models of the 1940s - the 1960s. Viarco has been manufacturing pencils since 1907 and still utilizes traditional techniques to this day.
The Viarco Vintage 272D Copying Pencil is a faithful recreation of a traditional copying pencil. Copying pencils were popular in WWI and were used to quickly make copies of documents. The purple dye in the pencil core was not erasable and made it possible to transfer writing onto a thin, damp piece of paper. Thankfully, unlike the original, this modern version is non-toxic.
