Large East West Tote Dark Indigo

Dark Indigo canvas is hand dyed by a family of textile artists in Western India. To reach the perfect shade of dark blue, the canvas is then hand-dipped into the natural indigo vat (bath) up to 20 times. A lot of labor yields a natural denim blue that fades as you wear it, revealing the texture of the fabric like a great pair of jeans. These bags have been pre-washed and are sewn with contrast stitching.

18oz. Cotton Canvas Undyed Leather Handles (Detachable) Cotton Webbing Handles Copper Collar Buttons and Rivets

Size + Details 16H x 6D x 24W Leather Handle Drop: 4" Webbing Handle Drop: 10.5" Interior Pocket

Note re: detachable handles. The leather is meant to fit tightly around the collar buttons. When detaching or re-attaching, we recommend placing the bag on a flat surface. Additionally, you can poke a pencil, etc. through the key holes to loosen the leather before you fit the hole over the collar button.

Care + Wear Natural indigo-dyed fabric naturally releases dye for the first few washings. The fade brings out the grain of the fabric, creating a traditional "denim" look. The dye will stabilize, but until then, remove leather handles and wash separately in cold water. Hang dry in the shade, as sunlight will fade the dye. Store item in a dark place. Before the first washings, indigo will rub off onto light-colored fabrics. Take note when choosing what to wear with this item.

my pic for this is so blown out. Apologies. Refer to darker color.
